Our Story

Out and About Healthcare has been leading the healthcare industry with innovative mobility aids since 2006. Established in a small store in Caboolture, Queensland, the demand for high quality, reliable mobility aids has seen this family-owned company rapidly grow to a nationwide association.

Our History

It started with two people and a passion – one coming from a background as a palliative care pastor and another coming from a history in the medical field. Together they saw a great need for innovative medicals aids that were reliable, of outstanding quality and made the user feel confident and independent. Their goal was to radicalise the healthcare industry – providing a product that added to the quality of the user’s life and eased the responsibility on their families.

Starting from scratch as a small business in the heart of Caboolture, Queensland, the couple eventually grew their team.

One employee became two, two became four, and so it continued. They worked tirelessly to test every mobility aid in their store and slowly formed to create their own brand of mobility aids that were of an outstanding quality. Working closely alongside technicians, they modified and designed the best range of mobility scooters, electric wheelchairs, lift chairs and adjustable beds that would suit Australians.

Eventually, the demand for these products was so great, they moved out of their small store in Caboolture and into 3 large warehouses in Deception Bay. They successfully opened up stores in Townsville, Rockhampton and a State Office in Perth while overseeing dealers in NSW and Victoria.

The once small business quickly became a large corporation with over fifty staff members and products in every state of Australia. While the company has grown larger, the heart of the enterprise remains the same: to provide quality, reliable products and outstanding service to the people of Australia.

Our Company

Out and About Healthcare is one of the longest standing mobility aids suppliers in Australia. The premise for the company has always been ‘Quality, Reliability, Service’ and we make up a team of over fifty Australians dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of service and product for our customers. Our vision is to see radical changes in the lives of those afflicted by mobility restraints, transforming their quality of life and that of the lives around them.

Angela Latter – Fitting Specialist

Angela started her career as a primary school teacher, but quickly developed a passion for the healthcare industry. In her downtime she enjoys time with her family and two young sons. Angela is currently on maternity leave.

Darcey Liesegang – Fitting Specialist

Darcey has previously studied a dual degree in Law and Commerce but has put her studies on hold. She enjoys assisting customers to find the perfect mobility product to suit their needs. In her free time, she enjoys travelling with her partner and visiting her hometown.

Nicole is a member of the Fitting Team at the QLD Head Office. She is dedicated to helping our customers find the most suitable mobility solution to fit their lifestyle. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Philip Norman – Process & Logistics Manager

Philip is an ex-police officer with a lot of experience in assisting elderly and disabled customers before he joined the company. Phil’s top priority is ensuring all customers receive the highest level of quality and service.


Chelsea has been working with the team since 2017 and hopes to continue to grow with the company. She has one of the highest customer success records in the company and enjoys assisting with customer enquiries. Chelsea manages the administration team, ensures that everything runs smoothly from enquiry to delivery, and that all tasks and deadlines are met.

Maddy works in the administration team, primarily assisting with customer service queries. She also assists with government funding questions, quotes and bookings and is a hub of information on all funding enquiries.

Kailan is one of our newest team members in Head Office. She is always keen to tackle any task that is handed to her, and she hopes to grow with the company.


Sianne has over ten years of experience in Aged Care and Retirement Living, as well as previous military experience. She is originally from WA, and has lived in QLD for 25 years. In her free time, she loves spending time with her kids, grandkids, husband and their mini foxie. Sianne uses her extensive experiences to assist customers with their enquiries within the administration team.


Freya is currently studying mechanical engineering. She works in the logistics, ordering and stock control team.

Stuart Coleman- Parts & Technical Enquiries

Stuart joined the Out and About Healthcare team in 2015. He specialises in technical enquiries and delivers the highest level of service to all customers at all times. When not at work, Stuart enjoys spending time at home with his wife and their one-year-old son, Sonny.

Peter has over thirty years of experience in administration. He has a keen attention for detail, integrity and great work ethic. He has a excellent understanding of HR and Workplace Health and Safety principles.

Bachelor of Creative Industries (Film & TV, Interactive Design & Computer Science), QUT

Rebecca is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Industries majoring in Film & Television with minors in Computer Science and Interactive Design. She loves photography and videography and used to work as an after school drama teacher for primary school students. She is excited to share her creative input with Out and About Healthcare.

Ralph Causer – Technician

Ralph has been a technician at Out and About Healthcare for a number of years. He specialises in modifications, and has an excellent repore with customers.

Glen is a valued member of the Warehouse team at our Gnangara showroom in Western Australia. He ensures our customers receive what they have ordered in perfect condition.
