Our StoryOut and About Healthcare has been leading the healthcare industry with innovative mobility aids since 2006. Established in a small store in Caboolture, Queensland, the demand for high quality, reliable mobility aids has seen this family-owned company rapidly grow to a nationwide association.
Our HistoryIt started with two people and a passion – one coming from a background as a palliative care pastor and another coming from a history in the medical field. Together they saw a great need for innovative medicals aids that were reliable, of outstanding quality and made the user feel confident and independent. Their goal was to radicalise the healthcare industry – providing a product that added to the quality of the user’s life and eased the responsibility on their families.
Starting from scratch as a small business in the heart of Caboolture, Queensland, the couple eventually grew their team.
Eventually, the demand for these products was so great, they moved out of their small store in Caboolture and into 3 large warehouses in Deception Bay. They successfully opened up stores in Townsville, Rockhampton and a State Office in Perth while overseeing dealers in NSW and Victoria.
The once small business quickly became a large corporation with over fifty staff members and products in every state of Australia. While the company has grown larger, the heart of the enterprise remains the same: to provide quality, reliable products and outstanding service to the people of Australia.
Our CompanyOut and About Healthcare is one of the longest standing mobility aids suppliers in Australia. The premise for the company has always been ‘Quality, Reliability, Service’ and we make up a team of over fifty Australians dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of service and product for our customers. Our vision is to see radical changes in the lives of those afflicted by mobility restraints, transforming their quality of life and that of the lives around them.

Meet the team
Angela Latter – Fitting Specialist
Angela started her career as a primary school teacher, but quickly developed a passion for the healthcare industry. In her down-time she enjoys time with her family and two young sons.

Daniel Theodore – Fitting Specialist
Daniel originally managed a Zarraffas branch, but now assists customers in finding the right mobility scooter or electric wheelchair for their needs, through private or government funding.

Rachel Ray – Fitting Specialist
Rach loves nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She is very knowledgeable on mobility scooters, adjustable beds, lift chairs and electric wheelchairs, and always leaves customers smiling.

Darcey Liesegang – Fitting Specialist
Darcey is relatively new to the fitting specialist team, but her passion for people has allowed her to shine in the role.
Yvette Solomon – Fitting Specialist
Yvette is the newest fitting specialist to join the team, with over 10 years experience in the customer service and sales industry. She is a mother to two children and enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends. Yvette is excited to grow with Out and About Healthcare in the future.
Alana Coleman – Business Manager
Alana holds a diploma of Graphic Design, Bachelor of Communication, and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education. She joined the team in 2016 with a vision to take the company to the next level in customer service. Her main concern is always ensuring every Out and About Healthcare customer is loved, valued and comfortable with their product.
Philip Norman – Process & Logistics Manager
Philip is an ex-police officer with a lot of experience in assisting elderly and disabled customers before he joined the company. Phil’s top priority is ensuring all customers receive the highest level of quality and service.
Brenton Gordie – State Manager
Brenton joined the Out and About Healthcare team as a warehouse supervisor, and showed a shining for delivering high-quality customer service. He moved across the country to open up the Western Australia state office in 2017.

CHELSEA SHARP – SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR
Chelsea has been working with the team since 2017 and hopes to grow with the company in the future. She specialises in loan application and has one of the highest customer success records in the company.

FREYA KING – SPECIALIST ADMINISTRATION (ORDERING AND STOCK CONTROL)
Freya is currently studying mechanical engineering. She works in the logistics, ordering and stock control team.
MADELEINE MCILROY – FUNDING ADMINISTRATION
Maddy works in the Funding Administration team, assisting customers with government funding questions, quotes and bookings. She is a hub of information on all government funding enquiries.

Jake Dean – Warehouse Supervisor
Jake was employed at Out and About Healthcare when he was only 19, and has been one of the longest standing employees. He oversees the technicians, deliveries and warehouse logistics, and assists with freighting and customer feedback.
Stuart Coleman- Parts & Technical Enquiries
Stuart joined the Out and About Healthcare team in 2015. He specialises in technical enquiries and delivers the highest level of service to all customers at all times. When not at work, Stuart enjoys spending time at home with his wife and their one-year-old son, Sonny.

PETER PRICE – SPECIALIST ADMINISTRATION (HR)
Peter has over thirty years of experience in administration. He has a keen attention for detail, integrity and great work ethic. He has a excellent understanding of HR and Workplace Health and Safety principles.
Bridget O’Connell – Administrative Assistant
Bridget has completed studies in Design and Mechanical Engineering, and has since gone on to study Medical Engineering. She works closely with the technicians, fitting specialists, customers and OTs to design modifications on our products that radically change the lives of many.
Sarah Hickling – Parts & Technical Enquiries
Sarah is currently studying paramedics at university. She uses her keen logic and reasoning skills to assist a range of customers with their parts and technical enquiries.
Trent Kay – Technical Enquiries Administrative Assistant
Trent is studying civil engineering and financing.
Kyiah Burden – Administrative Assistant
Kyiah is currently studying dual degree in Business Management and Finance.
She assists in Administration at Out and About Healthcare, working in Calendar bookings and enquiries.
Charlotte Bird – Administrative Assistant
Charlotte works closely with our servicing team to book in customers and ensure their products are always running smoothly.
Jessica Brand – Administrative Assistant
Jessica is one of the newest members of the administration team. She is learning the ropes of the company and enjoys assisting customers with their enquiries.
Emma Mitchell – Administrative Assistant
Emma is currently studying a Bachelor of Communication at university. She assists the Victorian residents with their enquiries, servicing bookings and purchases.
Alexandria MacDade- Administrative Assistant
Alex is new to Out and About Healthcare and currently studying a double degree in Business and Organisational Psychology. She assists in a range of areas within the administrative team – and was vital in the planning of the Source Kids Exhibition.
Binnian Hunt – Administrative Assistant
Binnian is a semi-professional netball player who has years of experience in the customer service industry.
Abbey Littlewood – Administrative Assistant
Abbey is the newest member to join Out and About Healthcare’s team, but the staff and customers already adore her.
Janisha Chaudhary – Specialist Administration (Advertising)
Janisha is currently studying Advertising, Social Media and Creative Writing at University.
Adam Finney – Videographer
Adam is the creative genius behind many of the informative videos created at Out and About Healthcare. He dreams of creating content that focuses on empowering individuals – rather than fueling the disability stigma.
Ralph Causer – Technician
Ralph has been a technician at Out and About Healthcare for a number of years. He specialises in modifications, and has an excellent repore with customers.

Tim Cotter – Technician
Tim is an experienced technician and has a personality that warms everyone instantly. When not at work, you will find him versing his young grandson in Mario.
Nathan Kelsall – Warehouse Hand
Nathan is a qualified technician who has been a long-standing member of the Out and About Healthcare team. When not at work, you will find him at home with his son, wife and their newborn daughter.
Keegan Tocher – Warehouse Hand
Keegan is a valued member of the Warehouse team. His sense of humour and warm personality has been a huge success in the workplace and out on deliveries.
