#1 - Kings Park
If there's one thing that will definitely take your breath away in Perth, it's Kings Park at night.
Rich in both European and Aboriginal history, Kings Park is one of the world’s largest inner city parks. With two thirds of the 400 hectares being protected, over 3,000 species of Perth’s native flora resides in the area. Kings Park have created a network of paths with harder surfaces so that you can navigate the park on your Venus.
No other park in Australia is home to as many honour avenues, statues, and memorials as Kings Park. Some of the statues that call Kings Park home include The State War Memorial Cenotaph, the statue of John Forrest, and the Pioneer Women’s Memorial.
In Kings Park, ramps have been put in place to allow wheelchair access to most of the restaurants, BBQ areas, and bushland. Concrete extensions have been put in place in BBQ areas so that you can remain seated in your Puzzle while having lunch. Kings Park have also placed drinking fountains at a height which is accessible for visitors in wheelchairs.
Kings Park offers disability parking to visitors to ease access. They also offer disabled access to toilet facilities.

#2 - Cottesloe Beach
Perth is the home to picturesque Cottesloe beach, more commonly known as ‘Cott” by locals. The beach is lined with restaurants and cafes – there will be something for you. The beach offers ramp access for wheelchairs so you can enjoy the clear ocean view. The beach wheelchair would be perfect for travelling along the sand before having lunch with friends or family at the picnic areas, which provide space for wheelchairs at the benches. #3 - Fremantle Prison
Get a taste of history in the World Heritage Building Fremantle Prison. From 1887 to 1991 the convict built building served as a maximum security prison. The Fremantle prison closed in 1983 on the recommendation of a royal commission after prisoner riots. Today you can take a look inside for just $21. The Fremantle Prison offers a café, perfect for having some lunch after you tour the building. The menu includes slang used by convicts at the time.
Tours of the prison run every hour all week between the hours of 10:30am and 4:30pm. The ‘Behind Bars’ tour is 100% accessible for customers in wheelchairs! Take your Companion down to the prison and see one of the many exhibitions that the building is home to. ‘Transportation’ is the current exhibition being held at the prison. It looks at the forced migration of prisoners from England to Australian in both the 18th and 19th centuries.
