The team at Out And About Healthcare would love to take a moment to thank all of our dedicated SUPER mothers and grandmothers within the Out and About family – and an even further thanks to all of our mothers and grandmothers in the wider community. Without these role models in our lives, we all wouldn’t be where we are today.

If you’re stuck with ideas on what to do for your Mum then you’ve come to the right place. Give back to Mum this Mother’s Day with our GO-TO list of things to do with Mum over the Mother’s Day weekend. There's nothing better than spending quality time with the whole family. Best of all, all these activities are wheelchair and scooter friendly - great for the whole family!

If you’re in the Melbourne area, the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel is offering all mums riding with their families on Saturday, May 12thand Sunday, May 13th discounted tickets on the city’s gorgeous Observation Wheel. At $10.50 a ticket, this is a great way to spend some quality time with your mum at a fantastic discounted price. Better yet, this ticket price includes a glass of sparkling, red or white wine, beer or cider. Book online if you’re bringing the whole family along so that you don’t miss out on a spot!
If you or a relative require special mobility access then this is also the place for you – there is lift access to the boarding deck and ramps available to enter the cabins on the wheel.

If you’re on the other side of the country, not far from Perth, Penguin Island Cruises are operating over the Mother’s Day weekend. This glass-bottom boat wildlife cruise is a remarkable way to show Mum how much you care. With a huge diversity of potential animal sightings – including dolphins, sea lions, and sea birds – you’ll sure be a winner in Mum’s eyes. Online tickets cost $42 and are subject to availability. Book early and surprise Mum!

Perhaps you are wanting something a bit more relaxed, or looking for somewhere for you and your mum to sit down, catch up, and really spend some quality time together this Mother’s Day. Take Mum out for a picnic! Local botanical gardens or beachside esplanades are perfect to take mum out for a bite to eat! These places can be a great way for you to spend some time with mum. Deception Bay and Redcliffe in North Brisbane are perfect examples of beautiful esplanades and are both mobility scooter/wheelchair friendly – be sure to take mum out to check out the views and give a little something back to her. Show her how much you appreciate her. (Hint, hint - our mobility scooters such as the Mantra and Venus are great for indoor and outdoor use - get Mum the gift she can use on your family day at the park!)

Brisbane is hosting a “Mother’s Day in the Park” at Roma Street Parklands. Celebrate your SUPER Mum this Mother’s Day with a picnic under the stars on Saturday the 11th. Arrive early with Mum and take a “sunset stroll in the gardens or gather snacks for dinner from the food trucks onsite.” There a plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy as well as live music to entertain the whole family. When the sun sets Beauty And The Beast (2017) will be screened in the amphitheatre at 6:00pm. This will be a fun day for the whole family and we are sure Mum will appreciate every moment of it! For more information make sure you check out the Roma Street Parkland's Facebook and Instagram pages.

Out And About Healthcare are celebrating the SUPER Mums out there and hope that you can help spread the love with your own SUPER mum. From the Out And About Family, we hope you and your family have a joyful weekend filled with laughs, memories, snacks, and love. Ensure every day is special for Mum!
